Dr. Dipanjan Das

Dr. Dipanjan Das is a dermatologist based in Kolkata and Howrah, with clinical experience spanning general dermatology, dermatosurgery, aesthetic dermatology, hair and scalp disorders, pigmentary disorders, acne and acne scarring, and laser-based treatments.

He currently serves as a Consultant Dermatologist at Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Kolkata, where his responsibilities include managing a broad range of outpatient, inpatient and emergency dermatology cases, providing interdepartmental consultations, and teaching MBBS students and postgraduate trainees. He also runs his private dermatology practice at MM Skin Clinic, Howrah.

Dr. Das completed his MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy from Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences, in 2025, following his MBBS from IQ City Medical College, Durgapur. During his postgraduate training, he was awarded the Silver Medal in MD Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy. His postgraduate research focused on the psychiatric comorbidities associated with acne vulgaris.

His clinical practice encompasses the diagnosis and management of common and complex skin, hair and nail disorders, including acne and rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, pigmentation disorders, autoimmune and immunobullous diseases, cutaneous infections, dermatological emergencies, sexually transmitted infections and leprosy. His procedural practice includes skin biopsies, electrosurgery, radiofrequency procedures, cryotherapy, intralesional treatments, minor skin and nail surgery, acne scar procedures, chemical peels, microneedling, PRP and GFC, and laser and energy-based treatments.

He maintains an active interest in clinical research and academic dermatology, with peer-reviewed publications in dermatology, cancer and clinical pharmacology journals, along with ongoing research and publications in dermatology and dermatosurgery. His academic work has included research on acne, psychiatric comorbidities, drug reactions, skin cancer and innovative procedural techniques.

His academic achievements include a fully funded IADVL scholarship for DERMACON 2026, being the 5th All India Rank holder in the Cosmetic Dermatology Society of India Quiz 2026, and securing 3rd All India Rank in the Journal Club Final at the Association of Cutaneous Surgeons (India) Conference 2026. He has also received awards for scientific presentations at major dermatology conferences.
